Registration Process

Just like Oloko itself, the registration process (register here) is playful, easy to follow and descriptive. Your child can choose a personalized avatar (a bunny, a dog, a horse or a cat) as well as a user name (not a real name) for his or her avatar, he or she has to enter an email address and read the terms and conditions.

Game Overview and Content

Your children receive guidance right from the very beginning. A child friendly introduction tour quickly explains the functions, initial tasks and rules of conduct in Oloko. Players are told the story of Oloko, and shown their houses and gardens to understand how the world works. They are now able to gather seeds and water plants, and get excited to reach the next stages to grow flowers and rear animals!

Lovingly illustrated graphics and thoughtfully animated locations and characters in this virtual world help children feel comfortable right away. The flash-based online world can be navigated effortlessly with a computer mouse.

Navigation and Reward System

With its straightforward graphic icons and auditory feedback, the navigation is tailored to the abilities and needs of the children.

The navigation is intuitive and easy to learn: In addition to a graphic menu, a lovingly created map of the virtual world has been provided. Everything on the map is inter-connected in a way that allows your children to explore Oloko without losing sight of the big picture. The Task Book also comfortably lists all tasks at a glance and jobs are unlocked as tasks are completed. This provides a sense of achievement for the user, and illustrates the players’ progression through the game.

To make the Oloko gaming experience even more fun, Oloko offers a child-oriented reward and level system. At the successful completion of tasks, players receive new clothes or furniture, coins or rare items. Additionally, the players can repeatedly reach new levels.
Children can find out their current level by looking at their profile.
